PROGRAM OF THE FIRST "EUROPEAN ARTS AND PARKS FESTIVAL" 2007

July 20 - 29, 2007
Panevėžys, A.BANDZA’s nursery and kindergarted, 7.30 – 9.00 PM
’I take Music for Dessert’. The program consists of Lithuanian folk tales for children and tales written by contemporary authors.

Participants:
Actor mastery and plastics pedagogue, Assoc. Prof. Aldona Adomaitytė (Vilnius)
Valentina Žygienė (figure of culture, a pedagogue at Vyt.Mikalauskas Art School in Panevėžys)
Elžbieta Žygaitė (a dancer at the winds orchestra ‘Garsas’)
Dainius Lomonosovas (guitar, a ward of Panevėžys Women in Politics Club ‘Veiklios moterys’)

‘I take Music for Dessert’. The program consists of conversations, discussions, and art programs, presentations of photos and tactile graphics works and creative workshops.

Reviews of visual projects: documentary-feature film ‘Žmogus, nešęs žmogui ir tautai prisikėlimo viltį...’ (The Man, who was carrying the Hope of Resurrection to the Man and the Nation) directed by Saulius Varnas; ‘Dangaus sodai’ (Gardens of Eden) by Virginijus Kašinskas, Lithuanian mythology.

Exhibitions and visual arts:

July 28, 2007
Panevėžys, Senvagė, 12.00 AM - 4.00 PM
‘Pending return of the thriatlonist Vidmantas Urbonas’
Surprises and art discoveries for lovers of sports and music, residents and visitors of Panevėžys city and district.

Program:
Live music for everyone (even those celebrating their marriage), presentation of tactile graphic works and paintings developed by the youth with eyesight disability, puppets and bugs created in a particularly rear jewellery technique, telling tales to young pupils of the children’s home.

Art director of creative workshops:
Art critic, doctoral student of VAA Diana Raudonienė;
Lector of the Professional Development Centre, a member of the international puppeteer association UNIMA Mija Džeinara Ubartienė

Participants:
- Pupils of A.Bandza’s nursery and kindergarten;
- Community of Panevėžys city and district;
- If weather conditions are favourable, Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Summer Art Academy ‘Art Baltica 2007’ will give a performance;
- Chamber music ensemble (headed by Assoc Prof. Tauras Adomavičius).

July 29, 2007
Anykščiai, town park by the Monument of Freedom, 1.00 PM
The concert is dedicated to people originating from Anykščiai, who now live all over the world, and to the town that has been awarded the status of a resort

With participation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Summer Art Academy ‘Art Baltica 2007’ (art director and conductor Laurynas Vakaris Lopas)

Vilnius, Pavilnių regional park. Entertainment and recreation centre ‘Belmontas’, 3.00 PM
International quintet of Baltic accordionists ‘Excelsior’ (art director Genadijus Savkovas)
In the program: pieces by N. Rota, A. Templton, V. Ločeris, A. Šnitke, I. Cvetkov, A. Piazzolla, V. Vlasov, etc.

July 30, 2007
Vilnius, St. Catherine’s church, 6.00 PM
With participation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Summer Art Academy ‘Art Baltica 2007’ (art director and conductor Laurynas Vakaris Lopas)
In the program: pieces by J.Andreyev, J.Haydn, G.F. Malipier, H.Henkemans, P. Dikčius, J. Brahms.

July 31, 2007
Monciškės (Palanga, Miško takas 4a, Klaipėda district.) 1.00 PM
Pupil summer karate kyokushin (Oriental martial art) camp ‘Raganė’
The program of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Summer Art Academy ‘Art Baltica 2007’ will contain pieces of J.Haydn, G.F. Malipier, H.Henkemans, J. Brahms.

P.S. The concert did not take place. The reason – lack of responsibility of the conductor in the course of implementation of the project and disregard of mutual obligations; he induced the youth not to come to the concert. Losses caused by the conductor have been deducted from his remuneration.

Klaipėda, Concert Hall (Šaulių g. 36), 6.00 PM
