I'd like to be like them: PEACE PIRAMID builders from Kenya (Afrika) 2008

’NAFSI AFRICA ACROBATS’ IS BUILDING A BRIDGE OF FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN NAIROBI AND PANEVĖŽYS SCHOOLS FOR THE DEAF

April 2, 2008. Acrobats of the Pyramid of Peace, members of the troupe ‘Nafsi Africa Acrobats’ (art director Mr. Kennedy Ochieng Owino), Kenya, visited Panevėžys for the first time. On their midway to Riga, guests from the exotic country have agreed to take part in the educational-social project ‘I Strive to Be Like Them’ and meet pupils and teachers of the Panevėžys principal school for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. After an enchanting show, the guests were replying to the children’s questions, teaching elements of African dance, exchanging contacts and presents. We express sincere gratitude to the Director of the school Ms. Danutė Kriščiūnienė for a filling lunch and presents to the guests from Kenya, as well as for her contribution to the organisation of their trip to Norway.
